Measure your space with confidence.

Simple checklists for each product. Customer-provided measurements may need verification before anything is confirmed.

Before you measure
  • Use a metal tape measure where possible.
  • Measure in inches to the nearest 1/8″.
  • Note anything unusual about the space and take photos.
  • Customer-provided measurements are used for the first design. We may ask for verification or an on-site check before anything is confirmed.

Custom Closets

Measure the full opening, then note anything nearby that could affect the fit.

  • Wall width: the full opening, wall to wall.
  • Usable height: floor to ceiling, or to any bulkhead.
  • Depth: how far the space goes back.
  • Left and right walls: angled, uneven or open-ended walls.
  • Baseboards: height and how far they project.
  • Outlets and switches: position on the wall.
  • Door swings: anything that swings into the space.
  • Windows: location and sill height.
  • Ceiling restrictions: sloped ceilings, soffits, beams.
  • Other obstructions: vents, pipes, uneven flooring.

Entryway & Shoe Storage

A slim footprint means small details near the floor matter more.

  • Available wall width: the full run you would like to use.
  • Height: floor to your desired top height.
  • Depth: how far it can project into the entry.
  • Baseboards: height and projection.
  • Nearby doors: front door or closet doors that swing close by.
  • Switches and outlets: anything mounted on the wall run.
  • Vents: floor or baseboard heat registers.
  • Floor conditions: transitions, thresholds or uneven spots.

Floating TV Consoles

The TV, the wall and the console all matter for a balanced layout.

  • Wall width: the full usable run.
  • TV width and height: your current or planned TV.
  • TV location: centred on the wall, or offset.
  • Console width and height: how large you would like it.
  • Height from the floor: how high it should float.
  • Outlets: position behind the console.
  • Cable locations: where cables enter or route down.
  • Wall construction: studs, brick or anything affecting anchoring.

Cabinet Doors

Each opening is measured individually. A photo of your existing cabinets helps us confirm the rest.

  • Door width and height: measured per opening.
  • Quantity: total doors and drawer fronts needed.
  • Hinge side: which edge the door hinges from.
  • Existing hinge type: where relevant to reuse hardware.
  • Overlay: how far the door covers the cabinet frame.
  • Paired doors: measure each door in a pair separately.
  • Drawer fronts: measured the same way, separately.
  • Photos: of your existing cabinetry, to confirm style and fit.
